One of the biggest upgrades in this model is the dual-lens camera. With two lenses instead of one, you get wide-angle videos and super-detailed bird photos captured separately. Plus, the sleek and modern design in green adds a fresh, stylish look - perfect if you’re into a more techy, sophisticated aesthetic.
The one on top is a 3MP lens with 2K resolution that can rotate and track movements. The bottom one is a 2MP lens with 1080P resolution featuring a wide-angle, fixed view, similar to the camera of Birdfy Feeder, where the frame remains static.
When the wide-angle lens detects motion, the new portrait lens automatically tracks the target and records a bird-focused square-shaped video. From this recording, built-in AI selects the best moments and saves them as high-quality photos, delivering the best of both video and still photography.
Without AI Bird Recognition enabled, the Birdfy Cam 2 Pro will send you both a wide-angle video and a portrait video.
When AI Bird Recognition is activated, the Birdfy Cam 2 Pro will send a wide-angle video, a portrait video, and a few photos (in either format) whenever birds are recognized in the recorded content. If no birds are recognized, you will only receive the two videos.The portrait lens also features a high frame rate mode, recording at 100 fps with slightly reduced video quality. These high frame rate clips can be edited into slow-motion videos directly in the app.

Yes. In the Birdfy app, you can share your feeder with an unlimited number of accounts. Simply follow the app's instructions: My Devices > Settings > How to Share. Shared guests will have access to the live feed and recorded clips. But they will not be able to alter any settings or delete your videos.
Absolutely! The Birdfy Feeder 2 Series comes with unlimited cloud storage, with a 30-day retention period. Videos recorded over 30 days ago will be deleted. So be sure to download your favorites or save them permanently to your collection.

As a bird lover my entire life, I can say this is the best purchase ever! It was very easy to set-up and connect to the app. The photos are beautiful and AI has been spot on! My daughter and grandsons moved to the Netherlands, and I am always thinking of ways to keep them connected to home back here and to me. Got the Birdfy Feeder Pro 2 for Christmas. My mother in law got the same one. It has been great seeing our feathered friends show up to snack on some birdseed. Great videos, and pictures.
*** It WAS a bit of a pain to connect to WIFI.
After a bit of a kerfuffle, was able to get it connected to the guest network, finally.Don't know why they are using slower technology to connect.Would be better if it natively used the 5 Ghz rather than the 2.4Ghz. Luckily, my guest network uses the 2.4Ghz.
Hopefully we can continue to use the camera on a different platform-bird bath when spring rolls around - we have bears, and don't want feeders up when they wake up from their winter's nap.
The AI identification isn't the best, but generally gets it right.
All in all a great gift for me.
Highly recommend for bird lovers.

I love my feeder, but you need to make more pieces metal. Plastic just doesn’t cut it if you have squirrels around. My metal squirrel proof feeder has lasted years. This I have had for 2 weeks and already the squirrels are destroying it.

Super easy to use, fill, and playback footage. The feeder hold lots of feed so I am not having to fill it constantly. The solar panel keeps the cameras charged all year round, I've never had to take them in and recharge! The app is easy to use and easy to connect to the camera! Love the quality of the cameras and all the fun features that it has like a mic and a light! Camera quality is very nice and very clear quality! Only downside is that you need a pole that you can mount too, this was a little challenging to do and make our own holes!

Beautiful feeder but the seed doesn’t dispense itself to the front of the feeder like the other Birdfy feeders do. I have to manually shake the feeder every day to get the seed down to the front where they can get to it. This is a picture of my feeder that is completely FULL of seed. No way a bird can get to any seed. Shaking it everyday is a hassle and takes the fun out of it. I’d recommend one of their other feeders before I would this one. This feeder is all show and no go for me.

This Cam cannot be beat. From the birdhouse to the camera quality. We've had so many people comment about the quality and pure amount of awesome we share in our birding videos. I really don't think there is a better system on the market. The dual camera is perfect for capturing close ups. Customer service is Top notch and always replies within 24 hours. Setup is easy and takes less than 5 minutes if your tech savvy (if not their support is available and just a phone call away). All around great experience and would definitely recommend this to anyone who has birds 🐦 at their feeders.

The idea and product is mostly awesome! However even with a wifi extender outside I had to turn the quality of video down for it to not lag as much. The video isn't horrible but I'd prefer it work at highest quality. Still 3.5-4 stars for a great idea and product though.

Great Upgrade – Solar Power is a Game-Changer!
Setup was quick and easy, and the camera works exceptionally well. One of the best features is the built-in solar power. So far, the battery has stayed at 100%, which is a huge improvement over my first camera. That one didn’t have solar, so I constantly had to take it down, charge it overnight, and put it back up—what a hassle! This new version eliminates all of that. Highly recommend!

This is my third Birdfy product and it is the best so far. I love the dual lens camera and how it moves to where the bird is perched. The clarity is amazing! It was very easy to setup and install - we added it to our existing Birdfy pole in a different direction and it works perfectly. Our birds found it immediately and we’ve been enjoying it so much. This is my second birdfy purchase! I love it and the dual cameras are awesome. I've caught several unique birds and wildlife! However, my nosy racoon did chew the power cord and a lot of the grating that secures the seeds in the front of the feeder. I'll have to get a metal replacement soon and I did get the chew proof cord now that seems to have helped!

I was very excited to get this Birdfy Feeder 2 Pro. I have the AI subscription with it. If you only plan to use the app, it's decent enough. I do like you can stream online. That part was pretty easy and seems to work well. I was expecting the online stream to identify birds onscreen as they arrive. It does not. I was hoping to stream from both cameras at once. It does not. I was hoping to be able to use a computer to download videos from the Birdfy online storage. You cannot.
The solar panel is a great feature, but the internal battery is too small, so even though the feeder is on my deck which gets a lot of light (set up in May) the battery on the camera died overnight, and even by 3p the next day there wasn't enough energy to turn it back on. When installed, I had charged the camera inside, so it had 100% when attaching the solar panel outside. I now run an extension cord and keep it plugged in to a USB charger 24 hours a day. It's possible maybe the panel isn't working correctly, but I feel it probably is and they just made the battery too small to save on cost. Some kind of larger battery pack that snaps onto the bottom that will keep the camera up several days would be a welcome idea. That way the solar charger can do what it can to top off, and when it gets low, you can bring inside and fast charge it overnight without having to take down the feeder.
The app is nice enough. There is a calendar, you can see what videos were saved per day, and it allows you to filter on groups (birds, animals, movement, etc). You can add things to a collection. There is no storage card, so you only get what it saves for you to their cloud service. You can pay extra for more online storage. As I've only had the feeder a few weeks, I didn't run out of the free amount, but I'm not sure what I will lose when I do. If your phone has enough memory, you can go in and download 'moments' individually. This dumps things with random filenames into a directory, which you can then move to a computer if you wish. Each moment has a video from each camera and a few screenshot pictures. Videos and pictures are saved in two different places, and the timestamps are rewritten to the time you 'save' them. Looking at the files there is no way to know which files were associated at the start. Even after moving to the computer, it seems the creation date is now the date you saved to the phone, and the last updated date is when you copy to the computer. I don't see any of the original metadata, such as time and date of photo/video or the bird/animal it detects. It now becomes a nightmare to try to catalogue or create shorts/videos to upload online. That was 90% of why I originally felt this feeder would be great for me. Maybe someday they'll update the app and/or features, but I already have a feeder with a camera pointed at it, and I lost functionality moving to this device.
I knew the device is only 2.4Ghz, which is cheaper and you do have a longer range, but that band also has a ton of interference, especially in highly populated areas. When sending video it would be much better to have more bandwidth.
Luckily the squirrels haven't eaten the feeder yet as so many others have reported. I do like the idea that you can get a metal seed guard, but apparently the Birdfy website nor the app have this $34.99 addition. It’s only found through the Birdfy store on Amazon. So I don’t know if that means it’s discontinued, or an oversight.
Overall, I’m very disappointed, but that is because how I envisioned I would use it isn’t possible. Nothing I mention can’t be fixed, but I’m not holding my breath. For many people not wanting to do more than use the app, it can seem pretty great.
