Love the idea of it and so do the hummingbirds! A few issues with charging and connecting.
Customer service has been great working with but the solar hummingbird duo camera has been so troubling for me, one wouldn't connect to wifi, so they sent me another one, that one got moisture on the lens so they sent me another one, this one won't stay connected to the wifi. I paid alot for this feeder but it has been a hassle, I also have a bamboo feeder that is mounted out farther and never had any issue, ( knock on wood ) I have had it 2 years

The system is working exactly as advertised. It’s also doing double duty as a monitor for the Yankee Flipper bird feeder and squirrel flinger. I hope to see some dramatic squirrel tossing footage.
This is a replacement unit as the main camera on the original had a series of water bubbles (inside!). This unit leaks (so did the previous one) and now the side camera has internal fog. In the beginning it was all hummingbird joy! I hope to get back there. In dialogue with Netvue presently and will update outcome.
There is a problem with the side camera. It fogs up. The current unit is a complete replacement and it fogged up again. Need just a replacement side camera not another whole unit. Also both units leaked. Have a dog water dish underneath because it attracts ants. Have ant traps next to that. Really wish I could speak with a live Netvue person.

The dual camera setup means you never miss a visit — even when they sneak in for a lightning-fast sip and zip off again. And the fact that you can get up-close slow-mo footage of their wings? Unreal. I’ve watched the same clip 15 times and still squeal. My husband Tim got this for me as a gift (nailed it), and it’s easily one of the best things I’ve added to our yard. It's beautifully designed, easy to install, and actually holds up in New England weather. We've had rain, wind, heat waves — no issues. I love that it encourages me to slow down, sip my coffee, and just watch. It’s also become my go-to for decompressing when I’m overwhelmed. As someone who deals with chronic illness and executive dysfunction, these feeders offer a perfect, peaceful pause in my day. 10/10 recommend.

It was so exciting to see our first bird show up! We love seeing them up close. Our only complaint is all the motion notifications we get for non-birds. On breezy days we get nearly 100 notifications of just the feeder moving in the wind.

We absolutely love the regular birdfy feeder. But so far we haven't seen a single hummingbird show up to the hummingbird feeder. It is all working correctly so maybe it's too early for hummingbirds??
Like the first Birdfy feeder I had trouble getting it to connect to the network. The hum feeder took 5 or 6 resets and restarts to get the feeder to connect to the wifi. It would not do the firmware update until the final restart. Since the firmware update the feeder has done well. It lost connection once overnight but reconnected by the next morning. I like having the two cameras. I can't wait for the hummers to arrive near the end of March.
Very cool feeder. It's amazing viewing these hyperkinetic wonders up close. There are two separate, high quality clips generated when the hummingbirds feed. It's super simple to create a combined video collage using my phone's gallery that I then can share on social media. There's also one (or maybe more?) microphones that clearly picks up the sound of the hummingbirds. Amazing. I'm thoroughly impressed. I wish that there were some included upgrades to their cloud services (this isn't an inexpensive item) but so far that hasn't stopped me from being able to use the app to capture and save some pretty amazing clips in just a couple of days.
I have multiple Birdfy products. The Hum Feeders are great. Within two days of putting this out, I received multiple hungry visitors!
This is difficult to clean. Especially under the lip of the bottle. The brushes includes are really crummy. The skinny one does will with feeding ports, but the larger one is useless. Too soft. And it takes 2 days to charge and even with the solar panel, might stay charged for 3-4 days, way too expensive for something so difficult.
While the dual camera unit is much better than the single camera unit as far as attaching and reattaching the camera, I’m having a lot of problems with it leaking from the base. I’ve tried to be really careful about reattaching the base when I screw it back together, but no matter what I do it leaks. Makes a mess underneath the unit on my patio.
This feeder needs to be changed out DAILY in the hot weather as I find it ferments and gets mouldy very quickly. Perhaps a thicker glass type design might help with that?? Otherwise the camera and sound system is perfect! 💗

One of my cameras is full of condensation and it is impossible to see. Other than that, it’s a great product. I just rely on one camera.
Love this feeder! Always great support! I would like to see notifications modified for sensitivity as the wind rocks the feeder and triggers the camera.This creates too pics which is inconvenient to sort through the pics. Seems more hardware supplied than needed for mounting. I don’t use the solar panel as the other animals will tear it down. Easy to clean. Great camera setup. Hope this is helpful. Thanks!
The feeder takes beautiful videos and pictures, and the hummers really like it. However the feeder leaks from the bottom, which attracts yellow jackets. We tried a replacement feeder sent from Birdfy but it leaked the same way.
The items leaks and because it hangs from a hooks, it moves around a lot creating videos of nothing because it perceives that as movement.
This unit take nice pictures and the birds seem to love it. My complaint is that it is not user friendly. There is no way to control the camera from the app to turn off the motion sensor or the camera. You must control it from the unit and if you plug in the solar charger it turns everything back on. The solar charger will not recharge it with the camera running so it simply slows the discharge. If the camera is left on and you have many birds, you are covered up in events. This unit is not well thought out.
Perfect and a great way to monitor when they first arrive and to keep it up till the last stragglers leave in October. The only drawbacks are that the reservoir could be about half the size and that would be plenty of capacity while making cleaning easier.

Extremely pleased with the camera and support I received setting it up. We had a problem with the wifi connection, but customer service was patient and figured it out. Problem was with the wifi connection itself (WPA3 must be changed to WPA2) and not the camera. Hummingbirds are pleased with the new feeder too!!!
