Once your smart birdhouse is connected to the Birdfy app, you can watch your avian tenants right from your phone! The Birdfy app is free to download and offers live streaming, auto-recorded clips, and instant alerts - all for free!
Ensure your device is fully charged before starting the pairing process. Download the latest version of the Birdfy app from the App Store or Google Play. After downloading, create an account, select 'Add Device' on the home page, choose the product you purchased, and follow the in-app instructions to pair your device.

It connects via Wi-Fi, specifically on the 2.4GHz frequency. Why 2.4GHz? Compared to 5GHz, it offers a wider range and stronger signal through walls, making it ideal for outdoor use. This frequency is a common standard for most security cameras and smart devices, ensuring a stable and reliable connection.
The Birdfy Nest Ebony operates within a temperature range of 14℉ to 113℉ (-10℃ to 45℃). If the temperature falls outside this range, the camera may not power on or record motion-triggered videos. With an IP66 waterproof rating, the Birdfy Nest Duo is built to withstand rain and snow, ensuring reliable performance in various weather conditions.
Your bird videos and photos are stored in the cloud, so no need to worry about using up your local storage (phew!). Birdfy provides FREE unlimited cloud storage for the duration of the current story. Once the story ends, you’ll have 30 days to download your videos before they are permanently deleted.

Received for my birthday by my son, was a bit skeptical at first thinking I’d get nothing… but momma is here & ready to lay! Love the quality of the camera, and the light! I wish I gave the option to consistently record and then go back and view the day, not just little clips here and there. But overall fantastic home & I can’t wait to see the babies!
The Birdfy Bird House is a fun and interactive way to get a closer view of your backyard birds! It allows for 24/7 livestreaming of the feed, easy sharing with friends and family, and continuous charging of the camera with the built-in solar panel for year round viewing. Setting up is fast and easy and only requires Wi-Fi connection! Inside the box, you will find two pamphlets, one for instructions and the other for tips on where and how to set up your bird house. It includes a 1080P camera for high-resolution viewing, a built-in solar panel and connection cord, as well as a mounting plate and attachments for attachment to a pole. If your pole is very thin, I recommend finding a smaller clamp to attach it. In terms of mounting the bird house, I chose not to use the mounting plate and attached the base of the bird house to the base of my pole with screws. I felt that this would be the best option since my pole was thin and would be likely to lean if I attached it from the back as it suggested. Mounting the bird house only took around 10 minutes and was fairly simple overall. To connect the camera to the Birdfy app, you need to be within Wi-Fi range. You simply scan the QR code provided in the pamphlet, follow the instructions, allow it access to your Wi-Fi, and the camera will sync to the app. From there, you will be able to live stream 24/7, record, take snapshots, and listen to audio from your camera. Overall, setting up the Birdfy bird house was very simple and took around 20 minutes total. All the directions are easy to follow and it does not require a lot of work to complete setup. The camera quality is just as great as any other high end outdoor camera and not having to continuously recharge the camera is a big win. I can't wait to see what birds decide to make my house their home!

Great birdhouse! Put it up on a high pole and had a house finch start building a nest in literally a few hours. She’s made a mess of things and put so many sticks in that we can’t see her any more. Haha.
